Sitting in a coffee shop with a friend, I explained how I wanted the tagline I was trying to create to represent my beliefs.
We tried and said many things.
I am passionate about training staff to look after themselves.
I believe that highlighting small changes to the way people move in their everyday activities can benefit every aspect of their lives, both at home and at work.
When the staff engage in moving and handling tasks, they can reflect on their training and see how it fits together to help reduce their risk of injury when engaged in a task.
Before I create or review any moving and handling plans for a child or young person, I speak to all the professionals involved with them.
I need to be mindful of balancing therapeutic progress and safety for all.
If we work together, we don’t just look after the staff members.
We also look after the young persons best interests.
And then I had a light bulb moment and said-
Let’s Work Together, Let’s Get It Right
In my eyes, my Tagline sums up me and my principles.
